Links Staff Profile – Elise Rossato
For this month’s Links staff profile, we met with our newest addition to the Training department, Elise Rossato; a water polo player (who has represented Australia) to get to know her better and understand what makes her ‘tick’.
What is your role here at Links?
My role at Links is the Victorian software trainer. I teach people how to use Links everyday at their facility. When we bring on a new client in Victoria (typically), I go out to their facility and train their staff on using the different modules that make up Links as well as completing up skill training with existing clients.
How long have you been with Links
I started in April. It’s been a great experience so far. I’ve already had the opportunity to travel and meet new people.
What qualifies you for this role?
Previous to this job, I was working in the Sports & Leisure Industry as an event supervisor. This gave me a lot of experience in daily use of Links and more specifically the Facility Module. It puts me in a unique position to train and teach as I have an understanding of how the industry runs and I am able to relate to the clients.
What is your favourite part about this job?
I really enjoy the diversity of the role, going to different sites. It seems each training job requires to train on different modules; one day it might be Classes Training or Facility and the next it will be POS, or customer service training. I really enjoy that aspect. Every day is different.
What is your favourite part of the day?
Mornings are my favourite part of the day as I have always been an earlier riser thanks to many years of training.
What sort of training are you referring to?
I’ve always been extremely active and have a passion for water polo. I have played water polo for 15 years and had the opportunity to play for not only the Victorian Seals national league team (over 200 games) but also for Australia (across each age group).
That sounds amazing, what position did you play?
I was the centre forward.
So apart for playing for Australia, what’s the best thing that’s happened to you this year?
Going to America for a month’s holiday; escaping the cold weather! I got to visit Miami, New York, Los Vegas, California and Hawaii.
Now just a few fun questions to get to know you a bit better: – If I give you one million dollars how would you spend it?
I would buy a house. I would travel the world if I didn’t have to be responsible.
What is your favourite colour?
You’d have to ask me on any given day.
What’s your favourite dessert
I’m not really a dessert eater – I eat a spoonful of my desert and give it to someone else.
How do you like your coffee?
I like chai; I don’t drink coffee.
If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
To transport, or be able to fly and I could go wherever I want, whenever I want.
And the last fun question, if you could pick one Links Product that best represents you which would it be?
Facility, because I’m always scheduling everything, I’m a planner, balancing school, water polo, work. I’ve always had to plan and schedule. I trained 30 hours per week for 15 years so had to be good at time management.
Have you had the pleasure of speaking or training with Elise?
Are these answers what you expected or did you imagine her differently?
